Advanced Sea Kayak Rescue Skills
Take your rescue skills beyond flat water by practicing self and partner rescues in more dynamic conditions. This hands-on session is designed for paddlers who already have rescue experience and want to build confidence performing rescues in wind and chop. We'll review and refine partner rescue techniques before heading outside the protected waters of Porteau Cove to practice in more realistic conditions. Expect repeated wet exits, time in the water, and plenty of opportunities to challenge your skills in a supportive environment.
Experience Required
Previous self and partner rescue training
Comfortable paddling in wind and chop
Comfortable with repeated wet exits and spending time in the water in rougher conditions
