OC6 Community Clinic – Presented with the Outriggerzone Community Paddling Initiative
Join us for an evening of OC6 skills, technique, and safety as part of the Outriggerzone Community Paddling Initiative.
Volunteers are welcome to meet at 4:30 PM to help unload the trailer, rig the boats, and get everything ready for the evening. The clinic will officially begin at 5:00 PM with a land-based review of OC6 steering fundamentals, including steering theory, blade selection, reading conditions, and crew communication.
Once on the water, we'll focus on developing a stronger, more efficient stroke by working on catch, paddle pressure, and timing to build boat speed. We'll spend most of the evening in the sheltered waters of Blind Channel, with the option of venturing farther out toward the end of the session if conditions are favourable.
