About the event

  • Cost: $5 donation per participant to Marine Search and Rescue

  • Open to non-members

Join us for an evening of conversation, learning, and hands on demonstration about how to choose a kayak that fits you properly - and how to tune that fit for greater comfort, control, and confidence on the water.

Hosted with Chessy Knight and Dave Berrisford, this session will explore how kayak volume and outfitting affect performance and feel. We’ll talk about how to choose the right kayak size for your body and paddling needs, and how adjustments such as seats, thigh braces, foot pegs, and foam outfitting can help optimize your fit.

We expect to have at least one kayak available for demonstration so participants can better understand volume, fit, and outfitting in practice. There will also be an opportunity to discuss gear and customization options available through Valhalla Pure Outfitters.
